Q. What is the recommended dosage of LUVOX for a BPD patient? Her new doc put her on 50mg Luvox and 200 Tegretol, one each, at night. She's much better since off all the antipsychotics, et al, but still craves carbohydrates and still has dysphoric episodes (minor, however, compared to before).

A. Luvox should be dosed at 300-400 mg daily for BPD. Tegretol will reduce the serum level, and folks on Tegretol may need more. Hopefully, adequate Luvox will allow for discontinuation of the Tegretol.
