Q. I AM A 43 Y/O MALE,WHO HAS APPARENTLY, HAS HAD 2 SEIZURES EPISODES IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS. I AM BEING TREATED WITH A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT DRUGS FOR DEPRESSION FOR THE LAST 2 1/2 YEARS. MY DOCTORS BELIEVE THE MAIN CULPRIT IS WELLBUTRIN OR WELLIBUTRIN IN COMBINATION WITH THE OTHER ANTI DEPRESSANTS. MY QUESTION IS ,THAT I HAVE HAD NO KNOWLEGE OF WITH THE SEIZURES OCCUR, AND I FIND MY SELF WAKING UP IN THE ER. I AM VERY SLOW TO RECOLLECT MY MEMORY. ALSO I AM VERY NAUSEATED. IS THIS TYPICAL OF SEIZURES. THE DOCS HAVE TOLD ME NOT TO TAKE WELLBUTRIN AGAIN.

A. It is pretty common after a seizure to have problems with waking up, thinking well, and getting oriented. Do not take Wellbutrin. Follow your doctor's advice, and hopefully you will never have a seizure again.
