Dr. Laura Russell is licensed in California as a Marriage
and Family Therapist. She has earned four degrees. Her B.A. in Sociology
and M.Ed. in Special Education are from the University of Louisville
in Kentucky. Later in life she earned a second Master's Degree and a
Ph.D. in Psychology from International College/University Without Walls.
Dr. Russell has specialized training in child play and art therapy.
Her work with trauma survivors includes children and adults as well
as both men and women. "I first began working with childhood trauma
in 1968 as a deputy probation officer in the child abuse and neglect
unit in St. Louis, Missouri. I have years of experience as a mental
health counselor working in the area of trauma and child abuse with
both adults and children."
Due to Dr. Russell's schedule, she no longer has the
