  Q. I go to my doctor on the soon and was wondering if I should ask about other meds that might help. She has me on Seroquel 200mg and 150 Effexor and 200mg Wellbutrin. These meds are not cutting it as of now. The Seroquel helps me sleep at the dose I am on now without side effects but I am still running on highs during the day and when the down starts the other meds are not controlling the depression. I like the highs but yet I feel like a fool when they are bad and that is more than 4 times a week and if I do not have the highs then I am depressed. So if you could suggest what I should as my doc I would be grateful.

  A. I do not know what to tell you about changing medications. Clearly a change is possible since the current medications are not working. That said, I do not know if you are a BPI, a BPII, or BPD, and the treatments are different depending on diagnosis and symptoms. Discuss it with your doctor and see what is suggested.
