Q. After seeing during 10 years psychiatrists for depression, I was diagnosed with BPD 1 month ago. I was directed to a BPD specialist psychiatrist which I already met once. I read a lot about BPD
treatment on internet and it seems that cognitive-behavioral is the best treatment, but this doctor uses a psychodynamic approach. I would like to know if it is as well effective or if I should better try the behavioral
treatment.
They, (the group of doctor that diagnosed me) also want me to participate in a group therapy but with people who has other problems as BPD. Do you think it is adapted? I live in Switzerland and I have a feeling
that doctors here are not the best up-to-date. |
