Borderline Personality Family Bulletin Board

This bulletin board is for family members and significant others of people who have the borderline personality disorder only. This board is unmoderated which means we will not be monitoring the messages and the only time we will see the messages is if we come into the boardroom.

If you have a problem with other people's messages, let Seanchai know it is important that you show each other the respect that you would like to receive. This board makes it very easily to ban people off of the bulletin board.

* To those of you who have the BPD, this is very likely a place that will trigger you, depending on the level of your recovery. Please exercise CAUTION about reading this boardroom. In fact, I do not encourage you to read the messages on this board unless you are well into recovery.

Many families of borderlines are bitter, hurt and in distress. My first experience in one of the email groups for families was shock, tremendous hurt and anger. I simply was not prepared to be there during that period of my recovery. Many of us borderlines are not aware of how we have had an effect on those around us. My advice for you in helping your loved ones is to seek help and get into recovery so that you can be as happy and healthy as you can.

People with the BPD are NOT allowed on this board. You have your own board. The families here have voted to have their own separate space and we must respect their wishes. If you post on this board you will  be banned from posting on all boards. This is THEIR safe place to express themselves. I have provided a moderated bulletin board just for borderlines here. Family members are not permitted access your board. Please give them the same respect in return.

To families:  I hope this bulletin board will be a safe place to share your experiences, your feelings and your hurt. I encourage you to exchange email addresses and get to know each other.
